Phantom fabric stretches in four different directions. Board shorts with Phantom stretch deliver the most flexibility of any board shorts we offer.
Regular stretch fabric stretches in two different directions. It's still flexible, Just a title less than our Phantom material.
Not stretchy, but incredibly
soft and comfortable.
Length is a matter of personal perference. Learn what our different outseams mean for you.
This shorter length (16"-17" Outseam) keeps your board shorts from catching on your knee while surfing, swimming or doing anything else in the water.
This mid-length (18"-19" outsteam) still keeps your board shorts from catching on your knees, but serves those who like a little more coverage.
This longer length (20''-21'' outseam) protects the knees from rash or abrasions when you’re in the water all day.
The piece that ties it all together.
The Hyperfuse waistband is like having no waistband at all. Made of one continuous piece of stretch fabric, it is reinforced with a heavier piece of material fused to its interior, locking it onto your waist.
How do you define comfort? Well, the Hyperweave waistband is a good place to start. Designed with a singular, woven construction, Hyperweave technology reacts to your every move, creating an adaptive fit that’s as comfortable as it is lightweight.
Our standard waistband construction, the sewn waistband is our simple and effective solution to keeping your board shorts in place.
How board shorts are put together and why it matters.
Welded seams are used in lieu of a standard, sewn stitch. These seams are fused together via heat, creating a surface that’s flush with the skin to reduce chafing.
Just like it sounds, the stitched construction will show a stitch visible to the naked eye. For this construction, a flatlock stitch is used for durability and to create a flush surface with the skin.
Our patented, Velcro®-less closure system. Utilizing soft, stretchy fabric in lieu of Velcro®, the EZ Fly closure eliminates the possibility of chafing.
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating placed on all Hurley board shorts. This flouropolymer-based coating, typically found on waterproof rainwear, repels water so your board shorts stay light and dry quickly.
Most Hurley Men’s board shorts feature a fixed waistband for the best fit. This means your board short size will be the same as your pant size.
The most versatile short we make. Designed for the water, the land, and everything in between.
